The internet at the hotel does not work

The family running this hotel was trying hare, and had renovated the hotel.....but perhaps too cheaply. Rooms lacked charm and were somewhat depressing.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with a bakery nearby where you can enjoy fresh pastries every morning. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and provide a great night's sleep, with oh so comfy beds. Breakfast is superb, with a variety of options including hard-boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, and fresh bread. The hotel also provides a map with suggested itineraries for exploring the picturesque countryside town.

The bathroom and fan in the room may not always be as clean as desired.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Hotel Du Chateau. The owners, Nicolas and Elaine, were incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. The room was clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed and nice linens. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious. The location was perfect for exploring nearby caves and the surrounding area. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

As indicated in Q2, the staff were very helpful and all the facilities including the pool were excellent. The pool should have been available before 11.00 though. Food very good and served by friendly staff. Room good size (after 22 stairs! How many to the 2nd floor?). Plenty of tourist activities in the area.

I had a blast exploring the stunning Causses du Quercy Park and Padirac Cave. The hotel had a charming terrace and a beautiful outdoor pool. Oh, and let's not forget the gift shop, because who doesn't need a souvenir to remember their rural getaway?

Missing a hairdryer was quite an adventure for my hair, but hey, I survived.

If I had to nitpick, I would have loved some late-night fun for us party-loving teenagers. A chill hangout area or a bar with some cool tunes would have taken our stay to the next level.

I had an amazing stay at Du Chateau in Alvignac. The location was perfect, just a short 15-minute drive away from the caves. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They even provided gluten-free bread for my husband, which was a thoughtful gesture. The surrounding area was small but beautiful, with a charming church, pool, bar/shop, and petrol station nearby. There was also a local bread shop and pizza place further down the road. The breakfast was superb, offering a great buffet selection for only 10 euros per person. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it easy to connect with other guests. The wifi was reliable, and the windows had mosquito nets. it was a delightful and inspiring experience.

This was are second stay at this hotel in the last 4 years the staff remembered us from our first say. Its quite and central to Padirac and Rocamador.Food is good .friendly staff.Excellent value for money

The hotel is conveniently located near a local bar, bakery, and supermarket, making it easy to access amenities during your stay. The friendly staff at the front desk are accommodating and kind, despite language barriers. The comfortable and clean rooms provide a great night's sleep, and the breakfast spread is satisfying. Additionally, the hotel's exterior is beautiful, incorporating parts of the original building and its adjoining church.

The wooden stairs to the second floor can be challenging for guests with heavy luggage.

Lovely welcome and superb customer service offered by all staff we met. Our rooms were airy and light and the bed and linen were very comfortable. The location was conveniently close to the attractions we wanted to visit, without the overwhelming tourist traffic. The lady at reception was delightful and despite the language barrier, she made us feel welcome. Our room, although small, was immaculate and had a mosquito net. We also appreciated the free on-site parking.
